"La Chêneraie" lake is one of the first "hill lakes" built at the beginning of the 60's. 
It is mainly used for irrigation but it is also a fishing lake set in peaceful scenery.  Greenery and tranquility beckon you for picnic

Car park and start: car park in church square at Montgaillard.

Go towards a big white stone house and follow the signs. Go down the hill and you will see just in front of you (a bit on your right) a dovecote in «Belair» site.  Follow Camuzon river direction, cross the ford and go towards the D89 road, on your left.    Follow the road for 200 metres.  On your right, go up towards «Vedel» site.  Take the municipal path on your right and follow the signs leading to a shaded path on the crest.  Go towards a dominant viewpoint over Marsac and its castle. Follow this shaded path for 1500 metres, then turn right and take the path going through a municipal wood (ancient Roman path).  Follow the D25 road for 300 metres; on your left, follow the D89 for 500 metres.

Turn right, go through the municipal wood of Poupas; go past the Camuzon ford, go up towards Balignac (following the signposts).  Once you've got to the road, turn right and follow the road for 800 metres; on your left cross the little wood and follow the path for 400 metres.  Go round Balatière farm.  Follow the signs towards the Chêneraie lake.

From the lake, take the road to «Lauzerte» site, near Sainte-Blanche site.  Turn left before getting to Lauzerte farm.  Follow the signs, cross Ayroux stream and follow the path for 300 metres.  Take the dirt track leading to Massoc site.  Turn left towards Lavit (D15 road) until you get to the roundabout.  Take Beaumont direction (D3 road) on your right; follow the road for 300 metres until you get to a fork, then take the right fork into the Stade Avenue.  Follow the signs leading to D3 road and follow the road for 300 metres until you get to «Lacaze» site. Turn right and follow the signs until you get to Maynaguet. Take the path on your right and go down towards Vignaux wood.  Go round the lake.  Cross Floris stream.

Follow the path for 800 metres along the D111 road; turn right onto the path leading to Teulière lake.  At the park car, on your left, go along the lake and go across the footbridge.  Go up towards «Teulière» site . Turn left and follow the path for 200 metres towards Montgaillard.  Go past an ancient cork oak tree (very rare in the region).
