We invite you to discover our picturesque villages to appreciate all their beauty and their rich heritage.  Driving along the Lomagne roads you will discover hundreds of dovecotes, stone houses, half-timbered typical houses, manors, hamlets, an unique baroque chapel...

LOMAGNE VILLAGES TOUR

Curiosities

Start at covered market in Lavit: covered market Eiffel style, restored XVIth century church, Maison de la Lomagne (permanent exhibition), start hiking trails.  Take Montgaillard direction. Gorgeous half-timbered house with dovecote on your right.  Go straight on and then take the first turning on the right, follow directions to «lac de la Chêneraie»: fishing, walks, picnic (bathing forbidden).  Rejoin the road leading to Montgaillard.

Go straight on until you get to the next crossroads.  Turn left to Montgaillard if you want to get the hiking trails, if not, follow the road towards Gramont.   View point over Marsac castle.   At the crossroads, turn left to get to Marsac.  On your right you will see a dovecote.   Go up to the village of Marsac: church, walks, private castle (XII-XVIth).   Scenery.  Go through the village.  Turn left and then turn left again.

Dovecotes on your left.  Magnificient view.  Dovecotes in «Massac».  Bruel farm: canning factory, sale of foie gras.  dovecotes.  Follow directions to "château de Gramont".

Gramont : château (XIIIth-XVIth), Honey museum, church, dovecotes, walk tours, playground for children, Auberge du Petit Feuillant.  From the castle you can go for a charming walk (you can also drive or ride) going up the road until you get to the Havarès Manor.  Wallnut oil mill.

Turn left and go past «Latroque», then follow the St Créac road.  Down this road, at the crossroads, take the first turning on the left.  You can admire the very beautiful stone houses.  At the crossroads of «Gauran», turn back to Gramont.  Rejoin the road leading to Marsac.  At the entry to Marsac turn left then turn right and left again.  At the Give Way sign turn left.  Dovecote.  Take the D11 road until you get to Poupas.  Scenery.

Go through the village and take the Lachapelle direction.  Scenery.  Private mill in «Canté Perdric».   Go past the mill, follow the road until you get to Lachapelle: classified as a national "Village in bloom", gorgeous Baroque chapel, walk around the village.  At the exit of the village, go down towards Mansonville.  dovecote on your left, and then another one on your right in «Régis».   At the crossroads, go towards Mansonville on your right.  Go along the Arrats valley.

dovecotes on your right.  Go up to Mansonville:  walking around the village have fun when discovering lots of dovecotes and beautiful half-timbered houses.  Go past the school take Lavit direction.  Dovecote on your right.  At the Give Way sign, turn left and take the D3 road until you get to Lavit.
